Sortert under: New music reviews — maggie @ 03:19

If you are looking to slow down after a hectic day at the office and need some music that will loosen up your body and free your mind then hypnotic and tribal sounds can do just that.

There are countless types of music to decide from that will aspire to your needs and help you get the best out of peaceful music.
Firstly the type everybody thinks of when you consider relaxing melodies are classical pieces, and even without lyrics, the weight of these pieces can strike a chord in countless people’s lives with their melodious, timeless and flowing qualities. The likes of Mozart and Beethoven who fashioned pieces such as Fur Elise and The Pathetique enthused the music world with soft, gentle notes that changed throughout their pieces from tranquil to drastic upbeat sounds. Not only helping you feel unpeturbed, but also giving you a lot of happiness and in some cases confidence and self-belief.
Then there are simple sounds such as dolphins calling out, and the sea lapping up a beach, these can really loosen up your state of mind and calm your body right down, which in-turn can help you sleep very well at night especially if you endure sleepless nights.
The final kind of music is new age, this can be in countless forms and joins a series of musical instruments that often sound like tribal drums, space and futuristic sounds and rhythmic patterns and chants.

Brothers and a Sister From Another Planet
One night several years ago at an Irish pub in the East Village of New York City, the discussion of music turned to disco. It involved musicians and people over 40 years-old, people who might know what they’re talking about.

Several of us were, in the heyday of Studio 54 and the disco era, into punk rock. Others of us were — me especially — strictly jazz heads. I reminded my friend of lonely nights in college smoking out of a four-foot bong and listening to Zappa and John Coltrane and wondering how to meet girls. They were at the campus disco parties, while we were above it all. And alone, getting in touch with ourselves.
Now a guy walked into the bar – no, this is not a joke, this is true – leans over and asks Nancy, the bartender, to put on a CD he brought.
